- pH < 7 corresponds to an acidic solution – e.g. sanitary cleaner
- pH = 7 corresponds to a neutral solution – e.g. neutral/all-purpose cleaner
- pH > 7 corresponds to an alkaline solution (basic effect) – e.g. floor cleaner
- P210 Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking
- P280 Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
In surface technology, passivation refers to the spontaneous appearance or deliberate creation of a non-metallic protective layer on a metallic material, which prevents or significantly slows down corrosion of the base material.
pH is an abbreviation for potentia Hydrogenii, potential of the oxonium ion concentration in an aqueous solution
An acidic solution with a pH value of 1 is more acidic than e.g. one with a pH value of 4.
An alkaline solution with a pH value of 14 is more alkaline than e.g. one with a pH value of 10.
The pH description is a common logarithmic representation. A pH value difference of one signifies a 10-fold difference in OH – or H+ – ion content: pH 8 is therefore 10 times more alkaline than pH 7, and pH 9 is 100 times more alkaline than pH 7; a liquid (e.g. Cola) with a pH value of 3 is 10,000 times more acidic than a neutral liquid with pH 7.
Pad with special thread composition (fineness or natural hair) for polishing.
Porcelain stoneware tiles are ceramic tiles with very low water absorbency: they have a microporous surface (when not glazed or ceramically sealed), in which dirt, liquids etc. can collect. We therefore recommend that you use active or microfibre, surfactant-free, complexing, agent-based cleaners for daily cleaning. For pore-deep basic and intensive cleaning, suitable special cleaners should be used alongside the microfibres, e.g. for removing limescale deposits or oil and grease marks.
Coating for open-pored and absorbent floor coverings (linoleum, concrete and cement). Soaks into the pores, thereby deepening colouring, and protects against dirt deposits.
See Intensive cleaner.
P Statements (Precautionary Statements) give safety advice for the use of chemical substances or preparations.
See Priming dispersion.
For the preparation of surfaces, pore filler, primer.
When it comes to cleaning and care products, 'problem-solvers' are tools that facilitate an otherwise impossible outcome, or make that outcome significantly easier to achieve. Problem-solvers enable effective, efficient work.
